Dining at the Tower of Americas
At the top of the tower is the top house where the restaurant is located. The top house was constructed on the ground and then hoisted after the tower was completed. It has been renovated to become what it is today. The restaurant offers an exhilarating dining experience as you enjoy a panoramic view of San Antonio as the restaurant rotates.
It takes about 45 minutes for a full rotation of the restaurant to bring you back to where you started off. The food is not disappointing either. The restaurant is called Chart House Restaurant and is run by Landry’s Restaurant Inc. The entrees served for lunch include: chicken Francese, filet mignon, coconut crunchy shrimp and other delicacies.
For dinner you can have ribs, chicken, seafood and fish all served with signature side dishes. There is also a wide variety of wine served with your food.
Entertainment
During the renovation done by Landry’s Restaurant Inc., a 4D ride experience was added. Here you are taken through the history of Texas in 4D via a film called Skies over Texas. It is a captivating film and the 4-D experience will leave you feeling a part of Texas and San Antonio.
The Observation Deck
The observation deck is located at 579 feet above the ground, giving you the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the San Antonio city underneath you. At the bottom of the deck are historic photos of San Antonio strategically positioned to help you identify the icons in the city and compare changes that have occurred over the years; you will learn a lot about the history of San Antonio and Texas as a whole.

If you are looking to have some drinks while seated on top of the world, visit the lounge and bar located on the 60th floor of the tower. Here you can have your mojitos, margaritas and mai tais, amongst other drinks.
The Gift Shop
Located at the ground floor of the tower, the gift shop offers wonderful souvenirs and a selection of Texana merchandise you can take with you as memorabilia. Shop for toys, novelty gifts, hand wear, apparel, jewelry and so much more.
